Information You Send Directly
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Manteca Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message contains the information you choose to include, which is used to read and answer the request.
Routine Technical Information
Hosting systems may record ordinary server-log details such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. The operators may review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical data is used to keep the reference available, diagnose faults, measure broad traffic, and improve the pages. Manteca Residents Directory does not sell visitor lists or create personal profiles of individual readers from these logs.
Links to Records and Search Providers
The pages link to San Joaquin County portals, California services, court tools, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers. Information submitted on one of those external services is governed by that provider's own privacy notice and terms. That separate policy controls the information a reader enters there.
Who Can Receive Technical Data
Hosting and support vendors may process the server-log information needed to run the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. A valid legal demand may require disclosure. Outside those circumstances, the operators do not disclose reader information as a separate visitor list.
Security and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection. Logs are kept only for the operational and measurement purposes described in this policy. There are no reader accounts, passwords, or user profiles stored by Manteca Residents Directory.
Readers Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes that a minor sent information, use the Contact page so the operators can review and delete what they control.
California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA and codified in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following sections, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, or limit certain personal information held by a covered business. The Delete Act, Civil Code sections 1798.99.80 and following sections, created the state's DROP mechanism for registered data-broker deletion requests. Rights and exceptions depend on the business and the information involved.
Because Manteca Residents Directory keeps very little information, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs and removing information within the operators' control. Use the Contact page for a request. Government records held by California, San Joaquin County, Manteca, or a court are outside this reference's control. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs access to those records through their custodians, not through this site.
For a data-broker request, use the official California DROP portal. For a county or city record, contact the office that maintains it.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy takes effect when it is posted here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms. The date and scope of a material change should be reviewed before a reader submits information.
